Dr. Nick Stranges is currently employed by Iris Power as a Rotating Machines Specialist. Nick got his PhD in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, has more than 20 years of experience in the design and development of high voltage motors at GE, followed by 3 years as a hydrogenerator Design Engineer at the Andritz facilities in Peterborough, Canada.
He has published many technical papers, including well-received papers at the IEEE Petrochemical Industry Conference. He is also active on IEEE working groups and IEC technical committees.
