The modern day engineer is faced with two data extremes in the power industry, limited availability of data or excessive data monitoring. This creates a situation where engineers either excel, drown or become creative to function. Today’s challenge is to digitally sample the analog world to generate a representative recording, and attempts are made to process the data. On the surface we think in analog equations, in practice, working with digital data becomes a challenge. The presentation discusses several practical examples of various engineering computation strategies used while maintaining generators.
